Accessibility at the Apple Design Awards

Beautiful scene at the Apple Design Awards ceremony on Monday: two blind engineers from Apple’s Accessibility team demonstrate how they can create a workflow in the Workflow app using VoiceOver.

Watch the video on the WWDC site. The Workflow demo runs from 36:10 to 43:05.

Workflow is an outstanding app even without its excellent accessibility support, but that’s what they got the award for. It’s nice to see Apple rewarding this effort. ADA host John Geleynse:

Workflow sets the standard of what apps should be doing in terms of adopting accessibility, to enable these apps to be used by people with vision impairment.
